Tuesday’s late concert was purely vocal, but there was an orchestral dimension to it in the way that Rachmaninov devised such rich choral sonorities for his All-night Vigil. The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir gave a performance that communicated the shrewd intermingling of solemnity and joy with which Rachmaninov responded to the Russian Orthodox liturgy.
