Since the season 2008/2009 the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir is Daniel Reuss. The opening concerts of the season take place in Estonia in 11 September in Rakvere Church and in 14 September in the United Methodist Church.



Daniel Reuss (1961) has been a chief conductor of Cappella Amsterdam and RIAS Kammerchor in Berlin. He is regularly invited to guest-conduct chamber orchestras and vocal ensembles across Europe, including the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra, the Akademie für Alte Musik, Concerto Köln, the Schönberg Ensemble, Collegium Vocale Gent etc. His recordings with RIAS Kammerchor for Harmonia Mundi have won several awards. Daniel Reuss has debuted successfully with Händel’s “Agrippina” at the English National Opera. His CDs released by Harmonia Mundi have won several prizes.



The programme in Rakvere Church include Arvo Pärt’s “Magnificat” (11 September is Pärt’s birthday!) and Haydn’s “Stabat Mater”. In the United Methodist Church in Tallinn the J. S. Bach’s “Magnificat” and Haydn’s “Stabat Mater” are performed by EPCC, the soloists Kädy Plaas, Kaia Urb, Juta Roopalu-Malk, Iris Oja, Tuomas Katajala (Finland) and Uku Joller and the Tallinna Chamber Orchestra conducted by Daniel Reuss.



The future plans of the EPCC and Daniel Reuss include the concerts with the new compositions by Estonian composers Galina Grigorjeva and Ülo Krigul in Estonia, Tenso Days in Latvia and in Paisley Choral Festival in Scotland.
