We move in different spaces, spaces marked by a culture, a language, a philosophy. They are all unique and sometimes separate from each other. But there is a common space for all of us - this is Nature.
The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir gives a concert in Estonian-Russian border city Narva with the music inspired by nature and written by the Estonian composers to the lyrics of the Estonian poets. The concert given in Narva College of the University of Tartu features the works by Veljo Tormis, Ülo Krigul, Evelin Seppar, Cyrillus Kreek, Tõnu Kõrvits and Raimo Kangro.
Alongside the concert photo exhibition Voice Spaces will be open from 1 to 30 September in the exhibition and event space of Narva College. The exhibition looks at the physical and spiritual spaces that the EPCC works in. The photo series focus on the universal topics voiced in the choir’s music – the overwhelming need for peace, the courage to fulfil one’s dreams and the will to do things differently in order to create new unique spaces.
Photos Anneli Ivaste, curator Kristel Schwede.
The exhibition belongs to the programme of the festival Station Narva.
