Eleri-Kristel Kuimet (soprano) was born and raised in Linnamäe in Läänemaa county. She studied piano at the Cyrillus Kreek Music School (under Bogdana Smagol) and at the Tallinn Music School (under Mati Mikalai). During her studies, she developed an interest in conducting, which led her to study conducting at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.
Eleri-Kristel completed her bachelor’s degree (Prof. Ants Soots) and her master’s degree at the same university in 2022 (Prof. Tõnu Kaljuste and Kaspar Mänd). From 2020 to 2021, she studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Music (Prof. Mats Nilsson). In addition, she has trained in various master classes (under Gary Graden, Javier Busto, Vytautas Miškinis).
Eleri-Kristel has worked with various choirs (mixed choir Hannijöggi, Meriko mixed choir) and has sung in chamber choirs (Voces Tallinn, Collegium Musicale). In 2018, she established the Linnamäe mixed choir in her hometown, with whom she attended the Estonian Song Festival, and during her studies in Sweden she worked with the Estonian Mixed Choir in Stockholm.
She is currently conducting the EBS Chamber Choir and assistant conducting the chamber choir Head Ööd, Vend and the Academic Women’s Choir of Tallinn University of Technology.
Eleri-Kristel sings with the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir from the 2024/2025 season.
