Kim Sargsyan (bass-baritone) received a Master’s degree from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory (Armenia) in two specialities: violin (Professor Bagrat Vardanyan’s class, 2005) and academic vocal (Professor Anna Mayilyan’s class, 2016). Both specialties form the basis of the musician’s activity.
As a bass-baritone singer, Kim was a soloist of the Armenian National Opera and Ballet Theater (2016–2022), a soloist of the Armenian State Chamber Choir “Hover” (2008–2022) and “Armenian Voices” Vocal Septet (2011–2017).
As a violinist he worked in the Symphony Orchestra of the Armenian National Opera Theater (2004–2022). In 2018, Kim together with the pianist Marine Karoyan, established the duet “Aré” and were engaged in concert activities in Armenia and abroad with the repertoire based on German composers.
Kim has collaborated with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia, the State Symphony Orchestra, the State Ensemble of Soloists of Armenia. He has performed on stages such as the Dubai Opera, Théâtre Nanterre-Amandières, Cité de la Musique and Le Quartz in France, Strathmore Hall, Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center (USA), National Taipei Theater and Concert Hall in Taiwan, the State Hermitage Museum Hall in Russia and others.
Kim has also participated in the festivals “Palaces of St. Petersburg” (St. Petersburg, 2021), “Prospects of the 21st Century” (Armenia, 2010–2021), “Pieve in Musica” (Viguzzolo, Italy, 2023), Savonlinna Opera Festival (Finland, 2024). In the years 2022–2024 Kim was an artist of the Estonian National Opera.
Since August 2024 Kim is engaged at the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir.
