Raul Mikson (tenor) discovered the world of music at Viljandi Music School. Between 1994 and 2004 he studied singing under Tiiu Levald, as well as being a choir singer and soloist in the Estonian National Male Choir. He has also been involved in vocal ensembles Kuninglik Kvintett (The Royal Quintet), Vox Clamantis and Choeur Gregoriaen de Paris.
The magic of the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber was introduced to Raul by one of the choir’s former singers, Iris Oja, who subsequently proposed that he join. Raul needed no further convincing and so decided to join the choir in 2004.
Additionally, Raul is a much appreciated soloist at the EPCC concerts in Estonia as well as abroad. His repertoire includes soloist parts in many large-scale works, including Mozart’s ‘Vesperae solennes de confessore’, ‘Krönungsmesse’ and Requiem, Bach’s Mass in B minor and ‘Magnificat’, Pärt’s ‘Miserere’ etc.
